I love your imagery. I’m confused though are your panos shot on a blad or 617, or are they a stitched digital image?
your images are so inspiring, really let us enjoy nature. thank you.
i see you use canon 5d and the 24-70 lens, but can i ask you how you get such panoramic shots? whatever technique you use, they are amazing and I look forward to seeing new images as they appear.
thank you

Thanks kman and steve – There is really nothing to special that I do to take these panoramic images. I had ben using the Canon 5D up until early december 08 when I purchased the mark II. They are all stitched digital images, some using a tripod others just by hand. My only real technique would be lots of waiting for the light and overlapping the images by around 30-40% so the stitch has a better chance of coming out clean.
wow, they’re stitched? Are you just stitching them with photoshop?
I’m amazed and now think that this is a much cheaper option than buying a wide lens for my entry level slr.
Do you have a panoramic lens or are you just using a normal one?
Beautiful photography, really ingenious use of the watermark too, blends in nicely managing to keep the beauty of the picture in tact.
I’m going to go look at some more posts now
Thanks Kate. Yes all the panoramic prints are stitched images. I use either CS3 or PTGui for that process. My current lenses are the 24-70 and 70-200 by Canon. I would like to soon add a 50 f/1.2 lens to my camera bag. Most of the images are taken at a focal length of around 50mm depending on scene. I tend not to shoot under 35mm though as stitching can be a problem at this focal length.
Cheers for stopping by
