Earlier this year I travel to Far North Queensland to capture some of the stunning scenery that they have up there, plus to get away from my winter here in Perth be it just for one week. It was a glorious week in the tropics.
In the coming weeks I will have a whole new series of images available for prints from the area but right now here are the 1st four images I have add to the site for purchase.
All purchased prints of course do not have the watermark.

Recently we completed a commercial fit out in Adelaide, South Australia.
The fit out went so smoothly. The client had asked me to choose the images and then they would have the final ok on the ones I selected. I chose the images based on their simplicity and brightness as the area they where to be hung was a thoroughfare for hospital workers. I want it to be as easy as possible to clean and maintain that brand new modern look for a very long time. Printed directly on glass they are super slim, sleek and modern looking with cleaning or dusting as you would a glass internal window. printed on glass the delivery was super quick and installed was easy.
A few images the client has sent me today of the competed job and 1 image from the bare walls they had before the installed prints.

Recently I had a client in South Australia purchase 5 images for there establishment and rather that go the traditional route of either photographic print and frame or canvas we chose the very modern and stylish option of printing directly on to the glass.
A company in New South Wales ending up completing the job for me and they have just sent back a few images of the job. I am really impressed with the job from start to finish the look is stunning and their service and pricing has been great as well. I hope to do a lot more on glass in the future and for those clients future or present I will have 2 samples of the finished product in the next couple of weeks to view.
Here are the images that I received this morning from the job that is being shipped to South Australia this week for installation.

Recently I have had the opportunity to shoot some aerial around Perth. While I had only ever done one other aerial shoot some year earlier that was complete failure in part to lack of knowledge and seeking advice that led me in the wrong direction.
This time was a lot different. I went up with fixed wing plane with the doors off and I also sort advice from a friend I think is the best there is in the business here in Western Australia. With local knowledge and how to I was primed and ready for the experience. With the shoot lasting just over an hour I managed to come back home with around 15-20 really good images for my efforts, one of which is this stunning view of Lake Clifton and the Thrombolites that line the outer edges of the Lake Clifton.
If you are interested in the purchase of this image or any other you see on this site for photographic prints for the home and/or office or would like to enquiry about my stock imagery and commercial image shoots please do not hesitate to contact myself through the contact form on this website. All images are available or purchase directly though the website as either photographic prints of canvas prints delivered anywhere in the world at no extra cost to you.

Last May I had the chance to spend a week in Far North Queensland, traveling from Cairns through to Cape Tribulation just north of Mosman Gorge and Port Douglas.
One of the morning well before dawn I woke na drove up to Palm Cove as I had heard there was a small grove of Coconut Palms growing right on the beach. Arriving the the dark lucky for me there was already a cafe open and the coffee of the morning in 20+ degree tropical weather was a welcome change of pace from the month earlier when I was in Iceland and freezing my ass off in sub zero tempretures and gale for winds.
As the scene came into light with the break of dawn and the warm sunlight lite up these super tall coconut palms right on Palm Cove I starting taking as many images I could to capture the coconut palms and Palm Cove itself in the best possible way.
This image is not available as custom size prints through the website link here http://www.spoolphotography.com/open-edition/australia_1/palm-cove-queensland/

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to photograph some aerial shots around the south of Perth. One of my favourite I took was this image of Meadow Springs Beach.
I love the colours of our waters even in winter they are just stunning. The added bonus was the swirling patterns in the breaks of the sand being torn up and removed as it does each winter from the beaches only to return the following spring when its time to get back into the water.
This image is now available as a custom size print through my website page. http://www.spoolphotography.com/open-edition/abstracts/meadow-springs-coastline/ … or if you require the image as stock imagery please email me at info@spoolphotography.com

Next Tour September 2016
Recently I led a tour around Iceland with fellow photographer Clint Baker last April, yes I know its has been a couple of months now. Life has been pretty busy with many projects on the go, I have just announced dates for our Indian Tour in 2016.
We had a blast in Iceland touring the whole country in 12 days and shooting in many types of conditions. It was a lot of fun but also quite challenging at times with weather etc, still our tour party had a blast and seeing their faces in awe of the landscape for 2 weeks was pretty cool to see as well. They all came back with some really good images and lots of memories I am sure will last a lifetime.
Over the next few weeks I will showcase a few of the images I shot from the tour and if you interested in the 2016 tour please do not hesitate to contact me via a message here or an email. The tour is September 2016 and we would love to see you there, it is limited to just 8 max.
Anyway here are 3 of my images from the tour we took one morning after breakfast. We had been looking for a scene like this for 2 weeks and finally found one with just 1 day left before the tour ended and had to leave Iceland … Everyone came away with great shots, here are 3 of mine …
Cheers Neal

What Past Workshop Attendees Have Said :
Dale Frank - The three day Great Ocean Road Workshop with Neal has completely changed the way I take my photographs and also post process my images.
Would recommend Neal’s workshops to anyone who wishes to get more out of their photography.
Ricardo .C - ”Thank you Neal for the one-on-one workshop today. Your approach was effective and nothing was left out and I appreciate you ensuring that you answered all of my questions. Was definitely worth the small investment”
Michael Taylor Education and Training Co-ordinator Busselton Camera Club - The one day workshop was a real hit with our members. It was interesting and ‘hands on’ and the way you used some of their own images taken during the day and made them ‘pop’ by applying minimal post processing was both inspirational and educational.
Jill Fisher - ”It was a wonderful workshop and my first time visiting Great Ocean Road. Although I’m not exactly a beginner, Neal was a very good instructor and always very helpful when needed. I would recommend anyone who wants to photograph this part of the world to join one of Neal’s workshops, he knows the area very well and has a passion for landscapes and it shows”.
David Lanigan -”The one day course with Neal was both enjoyable and informative. Neal was very hands on for the entire process – from camera settings and helping frame your shot, to the post processing techniques used to bring your images to life. Questions were not a problem and everything was answered thoroughly in a friendly manner.”
