Waking up well before dawn, driving an hour to the location, then sitting in the car in the dark freezing cold predawn with the rain storm overhead, I was getting the feeling the morning was going to be a complete bust. As the first light of the day was just starting to appear the dark rain clouds still held overhead with no sign of moving. Moments later with enough light to see the edge of the cliff, the rain seemed to ease and the wind dropped enough to leave the car and head down the famous Gibson Steps.
Once down the bottom the light was getting quite bright and to my joy a huge double rainbow appeared right at the angle I wanted to shoot. Setting up as fast as I could I just managed to capture the second rainbow before it disappeared from view.
