On the the most stunning bays I have ever visited was Hanalei Bay on the north shore of Kauai. The old pier (jetty) that stretches out into the pacific ocean at the center of the bay has a nice old world charm. Home to some of the best surf conditions in the winter months, in summer when the swell is somewhat calm it is a perfect place to spend the day in the calm water tropical waters of Kauai.
