One a trip back from the southern coast I stopped by the Stirling Ranges between showers and fast moving clouds to capture this view of Western Australia's Stirling Ranges. The Stirling ranges for a series of very old mountains that date back to around 600 million years. The range of mountains known as the Stirling Ranges or Koikyennuruff lie around 340km's south west of the capital of Perth. The area offers some of the finest bushing walking and hiking trails within the state as well as some of the best flora and fauna in Western Australia with many species of both only found in and around the Stirling Ranges.
